Many people have asked me what Cyprus is like in November and if it is a bit too late to go on vacation there at this time of the year. This is quite understandable, as the main reason to go to Cyprus is the hot sun and warm sea and coming there in late fall and with small kids, too, may seem pointless.   

However, things are not that bad. Although we were indeed a little late for the mellow season, which is in September and October, and the weather had already turned somewhat colder, it still couldn’t compare to Moscow’s dull and chilly autumn! Actually, the weather was great — our beloved Cyprus did not let us down.

Besides, tourist seasons are not something strictly set, and no one can guarantee you perfect weather in any season. For example, in 2017, it was already cold in October and every morning we had to cancel our plans for an outing on the beach. 

This time, the first week of our stay felt like summer — every day we lay on the beach and swam in the sea.  Later on, the hot weather subsided, and the sun was not so active. The warmest time of the day was between 11 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. and then it got a little windy, and we had to put on light jackets. At about 4.30 p.m., the sun began to set, it got darker and colder. But again, not as cold as in Moscow, ugh! Definitely warmer and nicer! 

So, if you need a good rest and dream about hot sand and a warm sea, then, of course, I don’t recommend you visiting Cyprus in November. But if you want to learn about the culture and mentality of Cypriots, visit local attractions without the tourist hustle and bustle, and take photos not featuring other people’s heads and backs, you will surely enjoy your stay! In my opinion, Cyprus is ideal in September and October when it’s very warm but not extremely hot. Anyway, this year we happened to have time off in November and, of course, we decided that it would be more exciting to spend it in Cyprus rather than in the dull fall of the Moscow region!

By the way, we come to Cyprus all the time, irrespective of the season. We own a villa there and it demands attention — for example, we had to do a little repair after an earthquake. We love visiting our cozy Cyprian hideaway all the year round — the beach is not our main purpose!

Кипр в ноябре, какой он?
Меня многие спрашивали, не поздновато ли мы ездили на Кипр и как там в ноябре? Ведь в первую очередь на Кипр едут за теплым морем, солнцем, а что здесь делать глубокой осенью, да еще с маленькими детишками?
Не все так страшно. Да, мы немного опоздали на бархатный сезон, на Кипре он в сентябре и октябре, уже есть небольшое похолодание, но до Москвы с ее осенними сумерками и промозглой сыростью еще далеко! Любимый Кипр не подвел и погодка здесь была отличная. 
И потом, сезоны – это ведь небольшая условность, никто не гарантирует погоду. Помню, в 2017 году уже в октябре было уже холодно, мы много раз собирались утром на пляж, но отменяли поездку. В этот приезд мы еще застали лето, в первую неделю купались, загорали, каждый день бывали на пляже. 
Сейчас жара уже спала, солнце не такое активное, самое теплое время с 11 до 14:30, потом поднимается небольшой ветерок, приходится накидывать кофточку. Примерно в 16:30 садится солнце, темнеет, становится прохладно. Но опять же, не до такой степени, как в Москве! Бр-р-ррр! Здесь теплее и приятнее!

Если вы устали и мечтаете о раскаленном песке на пляже и теплом море, Кипр, конечно, в ноябре я вам не посоветую. Но если хотите познакомиться с культурой, менталитетом киприотов, спокойно рассмотреть все достопримечательности, отдохнуть без туристических столпотворений и наконец-то сделать фото без чужих голов и спин в кадре, то вам определенно здесь понравится! 
На мой вкус, на Кипре идеально в сентябре-октябре, очень тепло, но без изнуряющего зноя. Но в этом году приехали в ноябре, так сложились обстоятельства. Выпало свободное время, не проводить же его в скучном осеннем Подмосковье, на Кипре интересней! 
Кстати, мы на Кипр вообще постоянно ездим, не отталкиваемся от сезонов, тем более скопилось дел много – у нас здесь своя вилла и был небольшой ремонт после землетрясения. Нам приятно приезжать в свое уютное кипрское гнездышко всегда, в любое время года, пляж не главное!
